Drum Corps International is confirmed to host the 2025 edition of its popular DCI Houston event at the University of Houston’s TDECU Stadium this summer.

Taking place the evening of Friday, July 18, the event will feature a seven-corps lineup that includes the Blue Devils, Blue Stars, Bluecoats, Cavaliers, Crossmen, Music City and Phantom Regiment.

“TDECU Stadium is an exciting new addition to this year’s ‘Texas Tour,’” said Eric Hjellming, DCI director of events. “With the experience of both fans and the performing corps top of mind, this venue gives us a number of advantages while keeping the show centralized and close to as many fans in Houston as possible.”

Opened in 2014, the $125 million TDECU Stadium is located a few miles from downtown on the campus of the University of Houston. Originally scheduled to take place at the venue in 2020 before the cancellation of the DCI Tour due to the pandemic, 2025 will mark the first time a DCI Summer Tour event has taken place at the university.

TDECU Stadium prioritizes spectator comfort with a number of standout features, such as chair-back seating, indoor club areas for select sections, plentiful concessions and parking, easy access via public transportation like Houston’s METRORail, and a variety of hotels just a short walk away.

DCI Houston will be the fourth competition of seven in this year’s DCI Texas Series presented by USBands that will also feature events in West Texas, Denton (University of North Texas), Waco (Midway High School), San Antonio (The Alamodome), Dallas-Fort Worth, and McKinney (McKinney ISD Stadium) between July 16 and July 21.

Tickets for DCI Houston along with the shows in Denton, Waco, San Antonio and McKinney are expected to go on sale to the public beginning Monday, February 10. Ticket discounts for groups of 20 or more will be available.
