DCI Hall of Fame arrangers Jim Prime and Jay Bocook will also return, this year joined by percussion arranger Ralph Hardimon. The Cadets Members of the Cadets' design team will be meeting this Sunday, Sept. 19 in Philadelphia to discuss plans for the corps' 2011 production. "At this juncture, I believe we have five or so different concepts prepared to discuss. We could have as many as 10 different ideas before we settle in," said director George Hopkins. Fans will be able to join a webinar at 5 p.m. ET to listen in on what the team has been discussing.

Carolina Crown Carolina Crown's winter color guard ensemble CrownGUARD will take a year off from competition in 2011. "The decision was really difficult following the incredible performances brought to the arena the last two seasons," said CrownGUARD director Adam Sage. Phantom Regiment Phantom Regiment will host the Red & Black Fall Classic at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill., on Saturday, Sept. 25. Thirty marching bands will perform at this contest beginning at 1:30 p.m. CT.

Santa Clara Vanguard Santa Clara Vanguard's 2011 brass staff will be led by David Clemmer, assistant director of bands at the University of Kansas. He will take the reigns from Andre Feagin who served as the corps' brass caption manager since 2009. Assisting Clemmer will be John Pasquale, assistant director of bands at the University of Michigan, along with a supporting staff of veteran musicians and music educators.
