The Drum Corps International Summer Tour Schedule serves as the foundation for countless memories made by performers and fans alike.

A tapestry of tour events across the country over a six-week span, the DCI Tour map is meticulously woven together in order to maximize the opportunities, needs, and preferences of DCI’s many stakeholders — its members, its participating organizations, and more.

The 2025 edition will feature more than 75 events in more than 30 states, all building toward the annual DCI World Championships, to be held August 4-9 in Indiana.

Note: The current edition of the 2025 DCI Tour Schedule is subject to change. Venues and locations will be finalized throughout the coming months. As well, SoundSport ensembles — a category that expanded in 2024 to include mini corps, alumni corps, scholastic groups, and drum corps in the Open and All-Age Class evaluation process — who plan to perform at 2025 DCI Tour events will be added to the schedule as details are confirmed.

Altered Openings

Canvas STadium
Drums Along the Rockies at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins will help kick off competitive events on the 2025 DCI Tour on June 28.

Kicking off Friday, June 27, the first weekend of the season takes on somewhat of a new look in 2025.

Since 2018, the DCI Tour has opened with midweek events in the state of Michigan. For 2025, however, the first calendar entry of the summer will be an exhibition in the Hoosier State, with three 2024 finalists — Phantom Regiment, Carolina Crown, and The Cavaliers — providing a preview showcase in a longtime DCI venue.

The event, held at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, annually provides a festive conclusion to the Bands of America Summer Camp and hundreds of students in attendance.

That same weekend, Blue Knights’ longstanding Drums Along the Rockies will make its return to Fort Collins, Colorado — set at Colorado State University’s Canvas Stadium — for the fourth-consecutive season. However, the event, often held in mid-July, will now serve as the summer’s opening competitive performances of World Class corps, slated for Saturday, June 28.

The Fort Collins event will highlight early competitive intrigue, as the first meetings of 2024’s silver (Boston Crusaders) and bronze (Blue Devils) medalists, and two corps who have been neck-and-neck on the past few years’ worth of standings, Colts (9th in 2024) and Troopers (10th).

To help kick off the tour’s early momentum, an array of DCI All-Age and Open Class corps will perform in Bridgeport, Connecticut, June 28.

Early Days on Tour

Perkins Stadium
Corps will return to iconic Perkins Stadium at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in Wisconsin on July 5.

Following these opening-weekend stops, the DCI Tour will split off in several directions through the first week of July.

Four different geographic “legs” of the tour map will unfold between June 30 and July 5, with groupings of corps making their respective swings through the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and California. Each of these branches of the tour essentially lasts on its own through Sunday, July 13, before converging with one another.

Midwest Tour

The 2025 DCI Tour’s early-summer Midwest events include several familiar locations, including “home shows” for an array of Midwestern corps.

Longstanding midwestern events, including Rockford, Illinois (July 3), will get things moving toward a Saturday, July 5 showdown at the site of the very first DCI Championship in Whitewater, Wisconsin more than 50 years ago. This event, hosted by the Madison Scouts, will feature the debut of the defending World Champion Bluecoats.

The DCI Tour will also stop in the home locales of Blue Stars (July 6 in La Crosse, Wisconsin), Colts and Colt Cadets (July 9 in Ankeny, Iowa and July 11 in Dubuque, Iowa) and The Cavaliers (July 12 in Lisle, Illinois) before moving south.

Pacific Northwest & California Tours

The Northwestern states of Washington and Oregon will host a trio of opening-week events, including Tri Cities, Washington (June 30), Seattle (July 2), and Portland (July 3). As this brief swing finishes up, a longer stint of events in California hits the ground running.

From July 3-12, six events will take place throughout the state of California — three in the northern portion and three in the southern portion — prior to a Sunday, July 13 tour stop in Arizona.

Look for the Boston Crusaders and Seattle Cascades to join the contingent of corps often seen performing at these early-season events in the Golden State. Neither corps has performed in California in more than a decade.

Southeast Tour

One of the later-starting legs of the early summer season, the southeastern and southern United States will feature a handful of early-July events.

Carolina Crown — who has been known to make Midwestern debuts in conjunction with the aforementioned Muncie, Indiana event — will kick off the competitive portion of its tour alongside a handful of other corps including Spirit of Atlanta and Music City, July 5 in Lexington, South Carolina.

These corps will be joined by a few others as they swing through Tennessee (July 7), Georgia (July 8), Mississippi (July 10) and Arkansas (July 12).

Y’all Come Back Now

Panther Stadium outside of Waco will host corps on the second day of the DCI Texas Series in 2025.

A highlight of the summer for fans in the southwest, the 2025 DCI Tour will make its return to the Lone Star State beginning Wednesday, July 16, as a handful of World Class corps kick things off in Canyon. A duo of Texas events on July 17 in Waco and Denton will precede a Friday night event in the Houston area leading up to Saturday’s showdown in San Antonio.

This year’s DCI Southwestern Championship presented by Fred J. Miller is slated to be the first and only time on the 2025 Tour that features the full complement of DCI’s World Class corps competing in one event prior to the DCI World Championships in August.

Rounding out the Texas action will be events in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. One, for which the location is still to be announced, will take place in a new Sunday spot on the calendar, while a Monday, July 21 event in McKinney will wrap up the summer’s Lone Star slate.

Back to the Midwest

Huskie Stadium
Northern Illinois University's Huskie Stadium in DeKalb is anticipated to host a July 26 DCI Tour event.

One of the more unique wrinkles of the 2025 DCI Tour — relative to recent years’ schedules — is a return to the Midwestern United States following events in Texas.

In past years, the final weeks of July would see World Class corps all make their way toward Atlanta and/or Winston-Salem, North Carolina. While those same two events will still take place July 26 and July 27, each featuring a lineup of more than a dozen corps, there will be several competitors making their way north on an alternate touring leg.

On their way up the middle of the country, corps will make midweek stops in central Missouri and Evansville, Indiana. Two venues recently known for early-July events — July 25 in Madison, Wisconsin and July 26 in DeKalb, Illinois — will instead serve as key competitive benchmarks in the ramp-up to the DCI World Championships.

East! East! East!

J. Birney Crum Stadium
The DCI Eastern Classic will return to J. Birney Crum Stadium for two days of action August 1-2, 2025.

Compared to the rest of the tour, the final week-or-so will look the most familiar. Following previously-mentioned events during the weekend of July 26, corps will all make their way toward the northeast region for one of the busiest overall weeks of the summer.

In total, the week of July 27 features 13 events, including three different days with three separate events.

The longstanding DCI Eastern Classic — hosted at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown, Pennsylvania — will take place August 1-2. It will be preceded by a trio of East Coast events, in Newark, Delaware (July 29), Glassboro, New Jersey (July 30) and Lawrence, Massachusetts (July 31).

Many corps will take alternate routes to Allentown, though. The week leading up to the DCI Eastern Classic features performance opportunities in familiar DCI locations such as Centerville, Ohio (July 29), and Huntington, West Virginia (July 30). Due to a stadium resurfacing project at Coastal Carolina University, look for one of 2024’s most notable debuts, Brass at the Beach, to get even closer to the ocean with a July 29 event in a new spot in Myrtle Beach.

In 2024, the inaugural season of DCI’s All-Age Class, Rochester, New York — a frequent championship site of Drum Corps Associates, which previously organized major All-Age drum corps competitions — hosted an event featuring corps from all three drum corps classes.

The same style of event will shift to Williamsport, Pennsylvania — another common DCA championship home — for 2025. Much like last year’s Rochester experience, the weekend of DCI Williamsport (August 2) will feature a SoundSport and Mini-Corps showcase Friday night before the event.

Open & All-Age Excitement

This season’s tour schedules for Open and All-Age Class corps will look similar to recent iterations. For the most part, All-Age corps will compete in singular Saturday events, with a handful of individual All-Age corps interspersed at World and Open Class events in their geographic regions.

As for Open Class corps, there is also an array of opportunities to share the field — generally on a regional basis — with World and All-Age Class counterparts. Once the season reaches late July, however, a string of Midwestern and Northeastern events are slated for the corps who will eventually also perform at the DCI Open Class World Championships.

The Final(s) Push

2024 Finals Finale
All roads will lead to Indianapolis for the conclusion of the 2025 DCI Tour.

While 2025’s road to “Finals Week” may look different than in years past, the destination is still the same — Indiana.

August 4-5, DCI World Championships Week will kick off in Marion, Indiana, at Wildcat Stadium on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University. The DCI Open Class World Championship will serve as an exciting precursor to events in Indianapolis slated for August 7-9.

New to this week’s Championship festivities will be an additional All-Age Class event scheduled for the morning of Friday, August 9. Individual class titles will be awarded here, with the Top 12 corps — regardless of classification — advancing to the DCI All-Age Championship Finals on Saturday, where an overall All-Age champion will be crowned. Admission to the Friday All-Age event will be included as part of a ticket to the DCI World Championship Semifinals.

Also look for the return of the SoundSport International Music & Food Festival presented by Jazz Wealth. One of DCI’s fastest-growing events will include its usual array of family-friendly festivities including food trucks, DrumLine Battles, and performances from a wide variety of SoundSport teams including one anticipated to venture all the way from Costa Rica to participate.

The annual SoundSport International Music & Food Festival offers a festive start to the final day of the DCI World Championships.
