Featuring the opportunity to learn and play alongside a “drum corps in residence,” five DCI Event Day Clinics powered by USBands and Drum Corps International will be featured across the 2024 DCI Tour.
The educational events — offered as part of the annual DCI summer season since 2022 — provide students and marching music educators with the opportunity to learn from some of the top DCI ensembles and instructors in the marching music industry.
Across the 90 stops on the 2024 DCI Tour, five will include one of USBands’ clinics during the afternoon hours prior to the start of the corresponding competitive DCI Tour event.
Open to all categories of marching music performers and educators, participants of the DCI Event Day Clinics will work alongside a “corps-in-residence.” As part of their experience, attendees can witness the ins and outs of a drum corps’ rehearsal process. Students will also have the exciting opportunity to learn a portion of the featured drum corps’ 2024 field production.
Discounts are available for groups of five or more. One free educator registration will be available for every 10 students in a group. Registration includes a ticket to the corresponding DCI Tour event.
Other features include:
- Half-day clinic (approx 5 hours) taking place at the venue before a DCI event
- Various sessions for winds, percussion, color guard, and educators
- Side-by-side learning experiences with members of a “drum corps in residence”
- Sessions with drum corps staff to learn excerpts of their current show
- Educator specific sessions with USBands team and drum corps staff
- T-shirt and DCI event ticket included
