#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday helps to kick off the year-end giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.
1. | Donate to DCI’s Legacy Fund
“Bringing the life-enriching benefits and enjoyment of marching music performing arts to more people worldwide” is the fundamental mission of Drum Corps International. Setup in celebration of DCI’s 2022 50th anniversary and to help ensure the fulfillment of this mission now and in the years to come, the “Legacy Fund” helps provide financial resources directly to participants in DCI ensembles and the annual summer tour.
2. | Donate to your favorite corps
DCI drum corps create incredible educational and performance opportunities for their memberships on an annual basis. Your donations will help support those efforts as they continue to serve their individual missions.
3. | Support DCI’s scholarship funds
Drum Corps International and partner organizations awarded more than $50,000 to deserving corps members this past August as part of the DCI Summer Tour. With your support we can work to give back even more to these outstanding students in 2023. Here are a few of DCI’s annual scholarship funds that you can donate to today:

4. | Amplify your holiday shopping
Amazon Smile is one of the most popular ways to directly support your favorite organization by doing something you already do on a regular basis, online shop. To date the company has given back billions as part of the program. Simply choose Drum Corps International (or one of your favorite corps) as your charity of choice at smile.amazon.com and then shop like you normally would. Amazon will then donate a portion of your purchases back to your chosen organization.

5. | Help spread the word
A donation of any amount on #GivingTuesday is greatly appreciated; however, if you are unable to make a financial contribution at this time, there are still many ways you can lend your support! Help share the word about drum corps auditions or the upcoming 2023 DCI Tour schedule, consider inquiring about volunteer opportunities with a corps over the winter or during their summer tours, or simply like/share/comment on DCI and your favorite corps’ social media posts, emails and web links to help increase their reach with your friends, families and networks!
