Future Music Educators' Experience

Attend the Future Music Educators' Experience and DCI World Championship Semifinals as our guest!

A longstanding collaboration between Drum Corps International, Music For All, the College Band Directors National Association, Kick It In, the National Association for Music Education, the National Band Association, and Winter Guard International, twice a year future music educators are afforded the opportunity to learn outside of their normal university curriculum and given a platform to ask questions to those who have been in their shoes through a variety of interactive sessions and activities.

The Future Music Educators' Experience will return to the 2023 DCI World Championship Semifinals on Friday, August 11, taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. This event is free to students currently enrolled in a music program (undergraduate or graduate level) and also includes a complimentary ticket to the DCI World Championship Semifinals.

Sample Schedule

• Morning arrival and sign in at Lucas Oil Stadium
• Welcome session with host Fran Kick, mix-and-meet with other attendees
• Behind-the-scenes stadium tour
• Meet-the-Masters (a roundtable discussion featuring some of the most creative minds in the marching arts)
• Visit drum corps warm-up area and/or stadium marketplace
• Watch the DCI World Championship Semifinals
