Future Music Educators' Experience

2024 Future Music Educators’ Experience ONLY @ DCI!

This collaboration with Drum Corps International, the College Band Directors National Association, Fran Kick, The Midwest Clinic, the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the National Band Association, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), the Percussive Arts Society, and Winter Guard International, offers future music educators the opportunity to learn outside of their normal university curriculum and provides a platform to ask questions to those who have been in their shoes through a variety of interactive sessions and activities.

The Future Music Educators' Experience will take place at the 2024 DCI World Championship Semifinals on Friday, August 9, at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. This event is free to students currently enrolled in a music program (undergraduate or graduate level) and includes a complimentary ticket to the DCI World Championship Semifinals.

Sample Schedule

• Morning arrival and sign in at Lucas Oil Stadium
• Welcome session with host Fran Kick, mix-and-meet with other attendees
• Behind-the-scenes stadium tour
• Meet-the-Masters (a roundtable discussion featuring some of the most creative minds in marching arts education)
• Visit drum corps warm-up area and/or stadium marketplace
• Watch the DCI World Championship Semifinals
