Drum Corps International is proud to support the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band whose members are in San Antonio this week preparing for their performance at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 4. In action since 2008, the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band features an ensemble of 125 high school seniors from across the United States who are vetted and selected by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Students chosen to take part in the All-American experience receive an all-expenses-paid trip to San Antonio. In only a matter of days, the marching ensemble learns and perfects a halftime production that is performed in front of thousands during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamodome. Already this week, band members have been hard at work in rehearsals working with top collegiate, high school and Drum Corps International instructors from across the country. They'll also have the opportunity to participate in educational sessions with members of the U.S. Army Field Band as part of their experience.
