The Academy
The Academy has provided an off-season fix for percussion enthusiasts in the form of an audition camp video of prospective 2018 tenor drummers.
The Battalion
The Battalion is hosting a Battalion Experience educational clinic December 8-9 in West Jordan, Utah. This is an event for prospective members to be introduced to what they need to know for the corps’ upcoming audition camps in January.
Blue Devils
The Blue Devils and Pacific Crest combined audition camp in Southern California this weekend is scheduled to go ahead as scheduled. The closest wildfire is more than 75 miles away from the Grand Terrace, California audition site, however, air quality monitors will be on site in case the event should be moved indoors.
Blue Knights
Ashley Bushwood has joined the 11 returning members of Blue Knights’ visual staff for 2018. Visual caption head Neil Adkison will once again lead the staff, assisted by Andrew Desmond.
Bluecoats
“Jagged Line” merchandise is available at bargain basement prices, just in time to stuff Christmas tree packages for your favorite Bluecoats fans.
The Cadets
A Cadets audition weekend has been added for December 16-17 in Houston.
Carolina Crown
Carolina Crown is seeking a head athletic trainer for the 2018 season. The position will require a full-time commitment from the corps’ spring training through its nationwide summer tour.
The Cavaliers
There is still time to register for this weekend’s Cavaliers Chicago Audition Experience for brass, color guard and percussion.
Colts
Registration is still open for the December 10 Tampa, Florida auditions for the 2018 Colts color guard.
Crossmen
Crossmen recapped a successful audition camp at Perland Jr. High School outside of Houston in this photo gallery.
Genesis
Genesis is selling the uniforms worn by the corps in 2016 and 2017, as well as the color guard costumes from this past season.
Gold
James Rocillo is joining Gold as the corps’ program coordinator for 2018. Rocillo is renown for being director of the Riverside Community College Marching Tigers, known as Hollywood’s go-to marching band whenever a movie script calls for such an ensemble.
Heat Wave

Legends
During the weekend of December 15-17, DCI Open Class bronze medalist Legends will be hosting auditions for all sections, including field conductors. Registration is still open for this event.

The first River City Rhythm auditions for the 2018 season are being held this weekend in Champlin Park, Minnesota and River Falls, Wisconsin.
Santa Clara Vanguard
Santa Clara Vanguard was busy last weekend during the corps’ San Jose audition camp at Yerba Buena High School.
Seattle Cascades
Seattle Cascades will be auditioning drum majors and conductors during the corps’ December camp at Inglewood Middle School in Samammish, Washington.
Spirit of Atlanta
Nominations are now being accepted for the Spirit of Atlanta Hall of Fame, Class of 2018.
Troopers
Troopers was recently in the news with a local report from the Casper, Wyoming NBC affiliate that focused on the corps’ ongoing auditions. Corps director Fred Morris explained, “It’s an educational experience for the kids here in Casper … [to] give them a little bit of what drum corps is all about.”
