Brothers' journey with Phantom Regiment began in 1970s

The Farrell brothers, Dan and Tim, were recently featured by the Rockford Register Star. Tim who currently serves as director of the Phantom Regiment and Dan as president of the organization's board of directors, have been an integral part of the group since they got involved as middle schoolers. "This has always been the most important thing in my life," Dan said in the article. "It's a dual-focus drive: Seeing the change that happens for kids in the 10 months we have them is great. And then also keeping the corps going — and going strong — so it can keep doing what it does for kids."

Local high schoolers, graduates win music championship

Eighteen local high schoolers are recognized in a recent article by the Bakersfield Californian for their accomplishments this summer with the Blue Devils B. "Bakersfield has always been a hotbed for recruitment," BDB Director Rick Odello said in the article. "There's always a lot of interest from the area because Bakersfield has lot of good music programs and the kids there are pretty passionate about the corps."
